Farage Draws Inspiration from Trump at Reform UK Rally Amid Conservative Tensions

Nigel Farage rallied supporters of Reform UK in North West Essex, citing Donald Trump’s election as a source of inspiration for his party as they aim to capture traditionally Conservative constituencies. Speaking at Parklands Quendon Hall, Farage remarked on the increased support for Reform UK while highlighting recent tensions with Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch, who expressed skepticism about Farage’s party overtaking membership figures. Badenoch downplayed the event, labeling Reform UK a ‘protest party’ and asserting confidence in her own majority of 2,600 votes from the last election, despite Reform being only 11,000 votes behind in a constituency long held by Conservatives. Farage, however, claimed that significant political waves, referencing Trump, were resonating across the Atlantic. He also discussed an exchange with Elon Musk regarding their differing perspectives on far-right activist Tommy Robinson, asserting his independence and commitment to his views. The rally drew a few hundred supporters, emphasizing the party’s ambitions within the storied Conservative territory.
