Solar Firm ESE Group Confirms Expansion
ESE Group, one of the UK’s leading solar companies has recently celebrated 8 years in business and expanded its portfolio by acquiring two additional depots alongside a larger headquarters.
According to the Office of National Statistics, electricity prices in the UK had increased by 67 per cent in January 2023 compared to January 2022. This steep increase in energy bills have seen demand for solar rocket. The amount of solar installations across the UK in 2022 was double the previous year. As a result, ESE Group have experienced unprecedented levels of enquires for solar panels and battery storage systems, leading to the acquisitions of new depots in Exeter and Durham to facilitate the growth in these regions. Back on their home turf in Liverpool, ESE Group have also made a seven figure investment purchasing a new headquarters to accommodate their 50 strong head office team and create a state of the art training centre.
CEO Gary Fredson said “It’s an exciting time for ESE Group as we continue with our plans to deliver solar and battery storage systems quickly to those that want to save on energy bills whilst help tackle climate change. I’ve repeatedly said over the years that solar is a sleeping giant and now its awoken demand will only increase. Solar has been so under-utilised if you look at the numbers, but this will quickly change.”
To put solar into perspective, 173,000 of terawatts (TW) hit the earth at any given time, which is more than 10,000 times the worlds total energy use during the same period of time. Interestingly, the world’s population currently consumes roughly 23,900 terawatt hours (TWh) of power each year – most of which is generated by fossil fuels.
Solar Energy UK Chief Executive Chris Hewett said: “More and more consumers and businesses are investing in solar because they know it is a proven way to cut their energy bills and carbon emissions”. It is estimated that in 2020 almost 1 million had solar panels, a very low number considering there are an estimated 29 million homes in the UK. Globally the UK has the seventh largest solar capacity with China leading the way by some distance.
ESE Group has amassed over 2,700 Trustpilot reviews and with a strong focus on customer service, top tier panels and quick turnaround times on installs they are well poised to dominate the solar market.
