Liverpool Businesswoman Confirms Collaboration With UK Homeless Prevention Team
Kate Stewart has actively supported those who are homeless or vulnerable for many years and is continuing her efforts in partnership with the UK Homeless Prevention Team.
Liverpool businesswoman Kate Stewart has announced that she’s officially working in partnership with the UK Homeless Prevention Team.
Kate, who owns The Sandon Complex and supported living accommodation Vitality Homes, has been volunteering and helping the homeless prevention team for a number of years but has committed to working with the community support group to help young people between 18-24 years old that are homeless.
The mum-of-four is incredibly passionate about supporting those in need and will help house the young people that have been assessed by housing and classed as non-priority, but still have nowhere to go.
Kate has been working with homeless charities to support them during the festive period and the pandemic, calling on those who are able to, to support people without homes and necessary items including food, clothing and home essentials.
After a difficult year with The Sandon Complex having to close its doors back in March 2020, before briefly reopening in September and closing again due to the intense tier restrictions and third national lockdown, Kate has continued to help those less fortunate than her.
Kate said: “Working with vulnerable people is so close to my heart and I want to help as many people as I possibly can. The UK Homeless Prevention Team carries out amazing work and I’m so happy to be part of it and working with them to help young people between 18-24 years old.
“These people will have been assessed and deemed as non priority but they still have nowhere to go and if I can help to house them and find them a permanent place to live then I’ll have hopefully supported them in embarking on the next stage of their life and living in the most positive way possible.”
