Kate Stewart Liverpool

Kate Stewart is the owner of The Sandon Complex, Vitality Homes and has recently set up Sisterhood HQ - an online supportive platforms for women in business.

When it comes to business, Kate Stewart believes you have to take failure with success.

After years in the industry as a successful entrepreneur, she’s all too familiar with hitting targets and smashing her goals, and equally at failing but getting back up and trying again.

Throughout her time in business, Kate has tried and tested many processes and finding what works for her and her various businesses hasn’t been straightforward.

Kate explained: “Part of being successful is accepting that you’ll fail once, twice or maybe even three times. The best entrepreneurs are the ones who aren’t afraid of failure and embrace it as part of the journey. I know that getting to where I am today has not been an easy road but I’ve learnt so much and experience like that is priceless.

"I still make mistakes today and that's ok. It's your approach to that and how you have resilience to dust yourself off and try again. It's taking the valuable lessons you've learned from that failure and keeping it stored for future ventures. That's what makes a great entrepreneur!"

Owning The Sandon Complex and Vitality Homes - two completely different businesses - has given Kate an extremely varied skill set, but the fundamentals of her drive, handwork and determination never falter.

Kate believes failure makes you more aware and ensures you won’t make the same mistake again.

The mum-of-four added: “In any business, you need to put in the handwork and have the determination to ride the wave of entrepreneurship. After years in the business world, I created Sisterhood HQ, an online platform to support fellow women in business and those starting out so that they can get advice and help, and save making as many mistakes as I did in the early days!

“Sisterhood HQ will be a one stop shop for all things business from courses to broaden your knowledge to an online community where you can seek out services you need for your business from trusted suppliers. That way, you’re not trying to do things you’re not qualified in and you can leave things like HR, accountancy and legal advice to the professionals. There will also be free workshops and inspirational speakers to give budding entrepreneurs an insight into what it takes to crack your industry and be successful.”
